Single Dental Implant in Beverly Hills, CA

Single Dental Implant

SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT

A single dental implant is the modern, gold-standard solution for replacing one missing tooth. It consists of a small, biocompatible titanium post that is surgically placed into your jawbone to act as a new tooth root. This post is then topped with a custom-made dental crown, providing a permanent, stable, and natural-looking replacement that blends seamlessly with your smile.

Unlike a dental bridge, an implant stands alone without altering the adjacent healthy teeth. At the Beverly Hills practice of Dr. Joseph Stan, DDS, we specialize in this precise, life-changing procedure, offering a level of expertise and aesthetic results that are unparalleled. Our purpose is to restore not just your smile, but also your oral health, confidence, and ability to eat and speak with comfort.

Why Choose a Single Dental Implant?

If you have a gap from a missing tooth, you have several options. A single dental implant is often the most beneficial long-term investment for your health.

Are You a Candidate for a Single Dental Implant?

Ideal candidates for a single dental implant are individuals in good general and oral health who have one missing tooth. Specifically, you are likely a good candidate if you:

During your consultation, Dr. Stan will use 3D imaging to precisely assess your bone structure and determine if an implant is the best solution for you.

The Single Dental Implant Procedure: A Step-by-Step Guide

Dr. Stan utilizes advanced technology and gentle techniques to ensure your implant journey is predictable and comfortable.

Treatment Time:

The entire process is typically completed in 4-6 months, depending on healing. A temporary tooth can be provided during this time.

Benefits of a Single Dental Implant

Investing in a single dental implant provides significant advantages for your oral health and quality of life.

  • Prevents Bone Loss: Maintains your facial structure and prevents the sunken look that can follow tooth loss.
  • Superior Durability: With a success rate of over 95%, implants are the most reliable and long-lasting tooth replacement option available.
  • Easy Maintenance: Care for your implant just like a natural tooth with regular brushing, flossing, and dental checkups.

I went to see Dr. Stan to determine if I was a good candidate for an implant because I have a crown on my front tooth that was coming off and my current dentist told me I needed an implant or a bridge and they couldn’t repair it. Dr Stan was able to re-bond my crown and he explained thoroughly the procedure for the implant for my particular tooth and situation. He didn’t feel that it was necessary at this time and that if this crown comes off again, we can redo the crown instead of doing an implant. He did say that it would most likely last a few more years. I am so happy that I went To see Dr. Stan, I absolutely loved him. He made me feel so at ease and so comfortable to be at the dentist. His work was impeccable and he is so precise. In fact, he made my crown feel better than it ever was. Dr Stan and the staff literally made me feel as if I was a part of their family. Olga and Rachel were gems. Thank you so very much for such a wonderful experience.

Dr. Stan was my dentist almost 30 years ago. He did wonderful and terrific work. After 29-30 years, I had to change up a gold crown he did. (#19) Can't ask for better work than that, almost three decades without issue. Great job Dr. Stan. (I have since moved)

It was over 10 years that I hadn’t comfortably and happily smiled. About two months ago I went to see Dr Joseph Stan for a consult. Going in I was feeling scared and anxious. The consult went a lot smoother than expected. The staff was amazing. They made sure I was comfortable. I honestly felt like I was at home. Usually at the dentist I am hating life but just the opposite here. About two weeks after my consult I went in for my procedure and it went amazing! I am so happy I chose Dr Stan and his team. Not only is he an amazing dentist, his work is like art. I love love my new smile. I would never imagined the entire experience from start to finish would be this easy and would make me so happy. I CAN NOT STOP SMILING!! 😊 Thank you so much Dr Stan and all of the team at the Smile Boutique!

FAQs

The procedure itself is performed under local anesthesia (and sedation if you choose), so you will feel no pain. Post-surgical discomfort is typically minimal and easily managed with over-the-counter pain relievers, similar to a tooth extraction.

From placement to final crown, the process usually takes 4 to 6 months. This allows adequate time for the implant to fuse with your jawbone (osseointegration), which is critical for long-term success.

A single missing tooth can lead to several problems: the adjacent teeth can shift into the gap, causing bite issues; it becomes harder to clean, increasing decay and gum disease risk; and the jawbone in that area will begin to deteriorate, affecting your facial structure.

True rejection (like an organ transplant) is rare because titanium is biocompatible. However, an implant can fail to integrate with the bone, a risk that is minimized to less than 2% when placed by an experienced professional like Dr. Stan in a healthy patient.

Care for it like a natural tooth! Brush twice a day, floss daily using implant-specific floss, and attend your regular dental cleanings and checkups. Avoid using it to open packages or bite extremely hard objects.

Patient Story
Partial dentures are removable appliances that replace multiple missing teeth with prosthetic teeth on a gum-colored base. They’re affordable but may feel unstable, causing difficulty chewing or speaking and gum irritation. Unlike implants, partial dentures don’t preserve bone health and can feel less natural in daily use.

Total transformations are possible.
